I'm really surprised! I totally thought you'd be super thick southern, I mean your name is A'Dell. Forgive me, please!
I detect zero accent! Zero!

For some reason you sound different here than you did at the Blathering Chicago. But that might be because I have a terrible memory.

Aah! You are so cute! You made me wanna jump through the screen and come hang out in your living room :) haha! (is that creepy?) You say you hate being on camera (which I totally get, why does it always feel so awkward?!) but you seem totally comfortable! :)

Jessica, it's probably because I was pregnant and miserable in Chicago. I am sure I had a much more WHINEY and ANNOYING edge to my voice. Heh.

I saw the video was 7 minutes and knew that was way out of my attention span abilities. But I started watching and the next thing I new it was over and I was sad. I, also, expected you to have more of an accent.

Katherine sat in my lap and kept waving to you and we both think you are very pretty.

Interesting. I remember your first grade teacher in Rochester, NY writing on your report card that you were having trouble with your short vowels, but she thought it was due to your southern accent and that you did not hear the short vowels!?!?

I totally want to come hang out and help you with your wall! I love playing decorator! I also love that we both moved to Texas at 18 :-)

You sound like you're from Southern California, trust me. We all have a certain speech pattern that is very hard to break. :) And? Daddy Long Legs ALL the time here. And? And? I think it's been 14 years since I've heard your voice and definitely 'seen' you. Bizarre-o land!

I think I was expecting a thicker accent. But you kind of have a drawl without an accent. And I don't think it's bad at all, but I live in Oklahoma, so our accents/drawls are probably similar. :)

Cracks me up that you talk about it never raining, and then... tonight... IT DID!

Also, I hear the CA in you... but maybe just because I'm a CA girl too, though I don't often think of myself as sounding like one...

I don't hear a real strong accent at all! But man, you are the CUTEST! As sweet and funny in "person" as you are in writing.

P.S. I used to live in Rochester! Yay Wegman's!

So I don't hear anything at all, but reading your comments, I'm wondering if I'm just immune to accent detection!

I posted mine this morning. SO FUN!

It was great to finally "see" you!

Hilarious, I like part 1!

Such a fun idea! Also! You would make a fantastic weather woman. I am going to do this just as soon as my kids nap and I put on some makeup ... so, see you in a year or so!

You are so lovely, I can't wait to meet you :) :)

I thought you would have WAY more of an accent being Texan. I'm pretty sure I picked up more of a Texas accent in the 3 1/2 years I lived in Midland than you have now. (Maybe working in the oilfield accelerated that hmm?) I think I'm mostly back to my Colorado speech patterns now though.
