Today, I:
1. Fed all children and self. Cleaned up after each meal.
2. Made coffee for Chris. In a to-go cup. Am wife of the century.
3. Made coffee for myself. (Of course.)
4. Loaded and unloaded dishwasher, twice. WHERE IS MY PARADE?
5. Hand washed some dishes. Left some other ones in the sink because I hate hand washing dishes and I have a short fuse on that chore.
6. Planned meals for the week. Went to Walmart and bought food for the meals. Forgot one thing and left another in the basket in the parking lot. Kind of annoyed about that.
7. Made grilled cheese for lunch. Cut Claire's into the shape of a flower with a cookie cutter. She didn't eat it. Later, when she saw it in the trash, "Mommy!? Why you throw away my pretty sandwich???!" Sigh.
8. Bathed the baby.
9. Washed diapers. Hung diapers to dry on the line outside. Collected them. Stuffed them. Put them back on the changing table.
10. Organized a drawer in the kitchen. Thre away four liquid medicine syringes, the top to a container we don't own any more, a bendy straw that melted in the dishwasher and a single blue birthday cake candle.
11. Watched Toy Story 3. (Again. OMFG THAT MOVIE. What is the strange power it has over children??!)
12. Washed a load of towels. Dried them. Didn't fold them.
13. Showered. Put on makeup.
14. Ran on treadmill for 18 entire minutes before the baby woke up. (Don't worry, this list is not in order. I showered looooong before I got on the treadmill this afternoon.)
15. Painted with Claire.
16. Sent Claire to room for flinging paint on me.
17. Fed baby several times.
18. Changed several diapers.
19. Built a really colossal marble run.
20. Put the sourdough starter I made on Saturday into a container in the fridge. Thought about making sourdough bread, but decided it sounded like too much work.
Still left to do today:
1. Take another shower. 18 minutes on the treadmill is just enough time to get really, really sweaty. Will try to fit that it in the MORNING next time.
2. Tell Chris what he's making for dinner. (Turkey burgers.)
3. Make banana bread out of the four overripe bananas on the counter. (I might not get to this one.)
What did YOU do today?

1. woke up
2. carried hadley downstairs while she barked like a puppy, consoled brooke about the fact that yes, it was a school day.
3. dressed self, dressed children, wrangled childrens' wild hair
4. kissed children goodbye as dad whisked them to daycare
5. ran around house prepping it for cleaning lady, tried to upload photos from the weekend, cursed at computer when it out of nowhere asked me for my "mobile me account" and wouldn't upload photos
6. commuted to work with neighbor, replaced lost work id badge
7. work, work, work, snack, work, work, work, cursed at evil procurement department
8. went for 1 hr walk around downtown
9. work, work, work, cursed some more at procurement
10. left 1/2 hour early with commuter buddy, only to sit in traffic
11. home early! drinking wine! waiting for husband and children to arrive home as I read blogs.

Had 5 grandchildren at the house for the day (gave daughter a weekend off at the Mall of American in Minneapolis with her BFF). Ages 11, 9, 7, 2, 1. It's been raining for 3 days.
Need I say more? The end.

You accomplished a lot today!
I took two kids to the library, loaded/ran/unloaded the dishwasher, handwashed some dishes, gathered all the trash and recycling and took it out, and fed/cleaned up after the children. I did not shower.
I also have overripe bananas on my counter. Maybe I'll make banana bread, too. With this weather, though, bananas have been going bad fast and we're very sick of banana bread. Last week I made a huge batch and froze it all because we have little interest in eating it.

I'm too tired to type it all out, but I did the usual mommy/baby stuff...times 2, of course. Twinlets and all.
I also paid bills, sent an edible arrangement to a sick family member, and cut out EIGHTEEN owls as part of first birthday prep. I think that makes me awesome.

All the normal stuff, plus two loads of laundry (which I folded AND put away, you may send my medal to my house directly), hung the clock over the mantel, loaded up the car, left the house (yes, that so deserves to be on the list), got gas in the car, dropped off the dry cleaning, went to the UPS store, went to the consignment store and sold a batch of Elizabeth's baby clothes, went to the mall, window shopped, watched two kids roll around in those giant mall hamster balls, ate a cookie on a bench, went back to the window shopping store and actually shopped, left the mall, went to the produce co-op lady's house to pick up our order, went to the pharmacy which didn't have our prescription, went to the other pharmacy across the street, got home to find out only half the pharmacy order was in the bag (got to go back tomorrow), made minestrone soup for dinner (eh, not bad), cleaned up dinner, put Elizabeth to bed, and then processed all the produce from the order, which included (thanks, Internet!) washing the raspberries with vinegar and cutting up FIVE cucumbers. How in the world does this produce co-op expect me to eat five cucumbers in one week?

And you were right, writing all that down made me feel super productive and amazing. We both rock today!

Oooh, I love this. For my response, see my blog!

I certainly didn't do 1/4 of what you did today! My word! You go girl!

You are awesome! You probably don't want to hear my list because I'm on vacation. And I'm on vacation with my mom, staying with my grandma and both my mom's sisters, so I am surrounded by people who are constantly telling me how cute my kids are and offering the little ones whatever they want.

You go girl!
I went over to my mom's and went swimming. Then took a nap, and watched some Sons of Anarchy. I prepped dinner, but Micah cooked it! lazy day!

Wow. This is pretty great.

I love a good list--and especially a list that reinforces how awesome and productive I already think I (or you, in this case) am.
Heh.
