Listed below are links to weblogs that reference All I have to offer is a simple thank you. Somehow, it never feels like enough though.:

I loved this. My father also served in the Persian Gulf, so I appreciate everything you said.

My husband saw a lot of horror in Iraq, things that he'll never forget, in service to this country. I know a little of what haunts him, but he is so appreciative of ANYONE who thanks a soldier.

What a beautiful tribute this is. Thank you to your father. And thank YOU for honoring our country.

What an awesome tribute to your Dad, as well as all our military members. Thank you for the reminder, as well as the awesome photographs!

Thanks A'Dell's dad!

I was also in elementary school, except both my parents taught there, and it was on an Air Force base in Sicily. We got a phone call in the middle of the night from the principal to let us know we were now At War. All I remember thinking is: everyone's dad is gone but mine. And feeling thankful and guilty at the same time. It was a year of terrorist drills and extra guards around the perimeter and no matter what politics are trendy I will always hold military families near to my heart.

Wow---thanks for this, made me tear up, a really beautiful post

I was reading an article called "10 Things Military Teens Want You to Know" and of course I thought of this posting and you. The article mentioned a camp called Operation Purple for military teens. I know this resource didn't exist when you were a teenager but it sounds great and just wanted to share.
