I'm in Chicago! And right now, right this very second, I'm in a session with lots of other bloggers and creative-types and even internet-famous people. FAMOUS PEOPLE!
Awesome. I just love famous people.
Anyway, I have given out a respectable amount of cards this mornings, all with this lovely URL emblazoned on them. And it occurred to me that I was not particularly witty or clever or downright hilarious this week like I usually am. I was just not feeling the vibe.
So, I present to you a collection a my favorite posts. The posts that I read and think "wow, sometimes I can like, string words together in an amusing and interesting manner."
Like this one, when the espresso machine blew up (seriously, it exploded in the kitchen)and I lost my temper at Macy's and yelled at all the Brides DO NOT REGISTER HERE!!
Or this one, about how I'm a selfish new wife who can't seem to manage to share holidays with her new family who are perfectly nice but I just like mine better. Really, is that so wrong?
I'm not always so angry though. Sometimes I have a bit of an eco-minded side and get obsessed about locally grown produce. Which, by the way, I am still on the waitlist for. It does not hurt my feelings any less than it originally did that I'm not reaping the delicious benefits of the hot Texas summer sun. *Sigh.*
Or the day when I almost killed my beloved dog. Ugh, I don't know if I can even link to it - it was very traumatic. Ok fine. Here. Get the Kleenex out though. Poor Jake.
And sometimes I feel compelled to write about the daily hurdles of just being married and making decisions like doing laundry or watching something on PBS about the Queen. Which do you suppose won that contest?
So, have fun in Chicago everyone and please continue to read if you like what you've found. And, to my friends and family who make up my teensy community of loyal readers, get ready for a fun post next week:
Should I return the espresso machine right before the return deadline and get a brand new one, even though nothing is wrong with it? Just to really stick it to Macy's?
I am leaning towards yes.
